Entertaining is Easy in a Royal Oaks Home

The weather has finally cooled down, Halloween décor is in every store, and football season is in full swing! We at Royal Oaks love that we live and work in an area local to so many great schools with great athletic programs. While we enjoy the proximity of these schools, sometimes it’s easier to throw a tailgate party at home; more specifically, a Royal Oaks home.

Royal Oaks builds homes that are perfect for hosting parties and guests. Our homes include spacious kitchens with plenty of counter space, relaxing back porches, and room to entertain! When preparing for and hosting a party the kitchen easily becomes one of the social areas. You can’t go wrong with our top notch kitchens equipped with reliable features and plenty of space in which to cook.  Royal Oaks’ kitchens come standard with granite counter tops, tile back splash, and stainless steel appliances. Most of our homes include a kitchen island, a great feature when it comes to preparing food for a party!

Although the weather has cooled down, it’s still warm enough to entertain outside! Our floor plans offer different types of patios, decks, and screened-in porches, per elevation. When throwing a party it’s a great idea to extend your entertaining space to the outdoors! This allows guests to have more room to roam, to sit, and to interact with other guests. Patios, whether covered or not, are wonderful for grilling out and expanding the party to the backyard! If you prefer a deck, where you can look out over your yard, we offer that feature as an option in many of our homes. We also offer screened-in porches that can accommodate both the warm and cooler weather. Features of a screened-in porch are not limited to a ceiling fan; fireplace options are available for the cooler weather. What’s great about these screened-in porches and decks are that they can connect to grill deck or patio, respectively.

While having a spacious kitchen and an accommodating back deck/porch/patio is enough to entertain even the biggest of parties, we don’t forget to include established areas within the home to entertain. Many of our home sites offer basement floor plans or finished/unfinished 3rd floors or bonus rooms. These areas are perfect and work as an extension of your main living area. When you have two areas in the home specifically designed for entertaining, you are able to offer more seating, more attractions (one game can be on in one room, another game in the other), and more places to display food and drinks. Some of our homes offer wet bars in either the basement or the finished/unfinished 3rd or the bonus room. Having more space to roam keeps your guests from getting bored of looking at the same thing, sitting in the same place, or watching the same game on TV. Who knows, your guests may never want to leave your home; with these amazing features, we understand why! When you have a Royal Oaks home, entertaining is easy!

‘Tis the Season…For Football!

NCSU UNC LogoThis week’s events mark the end of summer for most of us. North Carolina public schools have started back (1.5 million students headed back on Monday, Aug 26), Labor Day is less than a week away, and our white shoes and pants will soon retire to the back of our closets. While the lazy days of summer may be coming to an end, the exciting beginnings of fall are upon us! Fall, the season of college football (which starts this weekend), pumpkin spiced lattes, and cooler weather is just around the corner. Even though Fall doesn’t officially start until September, 22 we are excited nonetheless!

College football is a season in its own right and we at Royal Oaks love to celebrate it! Being surrounded by amazing universities throughout the Triangle, we are huge fans of ACC athletics! This year, we are partnering with the Athletic Departments at N.C. State University and UNC-Chapel Hill for both schools’ football and basketball seasons. This means we will be giving away tickets for each schools’ home games via social media contests and our website.

N.C. State’s first home game is this weekend against the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech. Kickoff is at 12:30 pm and we have 2 tickets for the game! The first game of the season is also Head Football Coach Dave Doeren’s first game with the Wolfpack!

UNC-Chapel Hill’s first home game is Saturday, September 7 against the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State University. This is Head Football Coach Larry Fedora’s second season with the Tar Heels and we look forward to another great season with him.

Each week we will hold a different contest to determine the ticket winner for each schools’ upcoming home games. Look at our Facebook page each week for updates on contests and raffles. We want our Royal Oaks fans and ACC fans to experience the magic of Football season!
